Flooding is a natural threat that every New Yorker needs to be aware of and prepare for. Over the last decade, 14 flooding events threatened the safety of residents, caused hundreds of millions of dollars in damages, and resulted in major federal disaster declarations. Visit SEMO's Flood Awareness page for information you should know to be prepared for flooding.
SEMO has joined Twitter! To increase our outreach efforts and help New Yorkers become better prepared for emergencies, we will be “tweeting” daily to provide situational awareness and general preparedness information. So follow us on Twitter at www.twitter.com/NYSEMO.
